Rail Removal/Wall Construction |

Shot of original stairway looking up at iron railing. |

Another shot of iron railing from upstairs
angle. Although this is here as a safety feature. it's not safe
at all. I'd claw at the floor before reaching for this to save myself
from going over.

This shot features the back of the tv and
entertainment center. We actually had black curtain over the rail
behind the tv and to the sides to hide this mess. It is nice to have
access to the back of all the components from here.

Here is the beginning of framing for wall.
Some advice here would be to check all your lumber at the store before
you buy it. Their weren't two straight two by fours in the bunch rendering
this project impossible to square from the get go.

Here is another shot of framing. Notice a
larger area being left directly behind entertainment center. Putting
in access panel here.

This view is from the back of center looking
over stairs. a

Here is the wall with the previously mentioned
access area. Cover panel hanging on other side of wall. A picture
frame will cover access from this side.

Wall completed. Awaiting top and shelving
to be installed.

A shot from stairs to show new wall from below.
This paneling will be carried down along stairs as well.a
