BLUE PERSUASION

BIO

Blue Persuasion is a band that strives for originality. By taking many different styles of music and mixing them together, they create a unique sound of their own. The result of this melting pot is something they like to call “Bluesadelic Music”.

When it comes to songwriting, Blue Persuasion always keeps an open mind. Some of the many influences that the band draw from are: Blues, Rock, Funk, Southern, and the classic psychedelic sounds of the 60’s and 70’s. The lyrical content of their songs also reflect the many different ways of looking at things in general. Whether it’s a topical song such as “Strung Out”, which deals with drug addiction, or the cry of a lonely man in “Take Me In”, or the carefree words of “Southland” to the controversial issue of religion in “Majesty Of My Soul” they make every word count.

In addition to performing their own material, they also do a few cover songs by bands like: Jimi Hendrix, The Allman Bros., Stevie Ray Vaughn, Grateful Dead, and ZZ Top. While They enjoy playing these covers, they try to keep the list of covers to a minimum since they would like to be recognized for their own music.

The goal shared by all members of Blue Persuasion is to write great songs, play excellent gigs, get a record deal, and, most important, have a good time.
